1-2-1 Cooking lesson
I booked a cookery lesson with Saira as a gift for my partner's birthday. He was initially a little nervous at the prospect of cooking everything on the menu which Saira and I had arranged in advance (I think it was the idea of making bread that worried him!) but he was excited at the prospect of learning how to cook some authentic Bengali food. Saira was incredibly well-prepared - from checking dietary requirements, to arranging an exciting menu, to making sure I had all the necessary kitchen equipment (Saira provided anything that I did not have), to providing all of the ingredients.
When Saira arrived, she was so friendly and enthusiastic that it immediately put my partner at ease. She patiently took him through each of the dishes ensuring that, whilst he prepared and cooked it all himself, she was able to demonstrate and support him step by step. The whole experience was amazing and Saira is such a lovely person to welcome into your home. She is so passionate about what she does and she shares this passion with such ease and good humour that, whilst there was a lot to learn, it was thoroughly enjoyable.
Once all the food was prepared, Saira left us with clear instructions on how to finish cooking it all prior to serving. I have to say that everything was absolutely delicious! My partner is under strict instructions to cook it all again - and has in fact already made the sheek kebabs for various friends' barbeques! I would totally recommend a cookery lesson from Saira for any one - it was the best present I could have got for my partner (and I thoroughly enjoyed the results of it too!)

Last night I held the most stress free dinner party at my home. It was so easy. I just had to lay the table and warm the plates. The hardest decision was which of Saira's gorgeous dishes I should choose. All my friends agreed it was exquisite, I can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Saira.
The meal was fantastic, all of us were blown away with the quality of the food and your presentation was excellent. The tastes and flavours were incredible and a class above any similar food we have eaten. It was an absolute pleasure for you to come and provide such a feast. Five stars is not enough!!
Group cooking class
I had the good fortune to have a few cooking lessons from Saira while in Cairo. The classes were great fun and the emphasis being on good family meals but that were so good, they were excellent for entertaining too. I still use my (now smudged and bedraggled) recipes regularly and still at dinner parties! It doesn't hurt that I get to say "these are Saira's recipes - the one off Masterchef? Yes - she taught me these".
Having never been exposed to much Indian food before, I really love the recipes now and it was great to use ingredients and spices I'd never used before, and the kids love them too! She made the experience of cooking Indian food much less daunting and I have amazing memories of her cooking and her classes.
When my family came up on Friday, I decided to try your Lamb Bhuna. IT WAS FANTASTIC. All your advice in the recipe is brilliant - I did what you suggested and cooked the lamb to completion, then let it go cool and heated it up close to time and added the roasted peppers. It also made me look like a real pro as I was so laid back before we ate, only do a last minute bit of rushing around and then presenting this amazing result. Also your advice about the onions made me stick at it for 15 mins with the result being gorgeous bronze!
I am going to cook it again and again and WOW! my friends but give you full credit at every opportunity.
